A Heartwarming Contribution from the Deganwy Dash
Report by Don Hale
This week, we have some blooming great news to share! The Joshua Tree charity received a fantastic donation of £3,955.37 from the organisers of the popular Deganwy 5 Mile Dash. John Hatton, the run director, and his colleague Carla Green presented this generous cheque to the charity. They were joined by race sponsors from Specsavers, Brown & Brown, MKM, and Jennings Civil Engineers.
John and Carla are not just stopping here. They also sent off several hundred pounds to the Young Lives vs Cancer charity. Lee Talbot from Brown & Brown confirmed that they will sponsor the race again next year, along with Specsavers. It's wonderful to see such community spirit!
The Impact of Local Events
Local events like the Deganwy Dash play a crucial role in supporting charities. They bring people together and create a sense of community. When we participate in these events, we contribute to something bigger than ourselves. It's not just about running; it's about making a difference!
The funds raised will help the Joshua Tree charity continue its vital work. They provide support for children and families affected by cancer. Every penny counts, and this generous donation will go a long way.
Join the Fun Next Year!
If you missed this year's race, don't worry! There will be another opportunity to join in the fun next year. Mark your calendars and get ready to lace up your running shoes! Participating in events like the Deganwy Dash is a great way to stay active while supporting local charities.
Plus, it's a chance to meet new people and enjoy the beautiful scenery of North Wales. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting, everyone is welcome. Let's make next year's event even bigger and better!
A Community That Cares
It's heartening to see local businesses stepping up to support these initiatives. Their sponsorship not only helps fund the event but also raises awareness for important causes. When businesses and individuals come together, amazing things can happen.
So, let's continue to support our local charities and events. Together, we can create a vibrant community that cares for one another. Remember, every little bit helps, and your participation makes a difference!
In conclusion, I encourage everyone to get involved. Whether it's running, volunteering, or simply spreading the word, your efforts matter. Let's keep the momentum going and make a positive impact in North Wales!
